JPA PIDN Scholarship 2025 in Malaysia

Applications are now open for the JPA PIDN Scholarship 2025, also known as the Domestic Degree Program, offered by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA). This scholarship is specially designed for Malaysian citizens currently pursuing their first-degree programs at public and selected private institutions in Malaysia.

If you are a full-time student in your first year of undergraduate studies, this is a valuable opportunity to get full sponsorship from the government.

Sponsored Study Fields

Under the PIDN program, all fields of study are eligible except the following:

  • Aviation programs that require flight licenses
  • Franchise programs from public universities or private institutions
  • Twin/dual/double degree programs (unless approved by JPA)
  • Nursing, semi-medical, and pre-medical courses
  • Programs that lead to professional certifications (e.g. ACCA)
  • Part-time, distance, online, or non-subsidized programs

Eligibility Criteria

General Requirements

  • Must be a Malaysian citizen
  • In good health
  • Not older than 22 years at the time of application
  • Has SPM qualification
  • Parents/guardians are not blacklisted or involved in legal action by JPA
  • Not receiving any other sponsorship or financial aid for the same level of study

Special Academic Requirements

For Non-Medical and Non-Dental Courses:

  • Must have started a first-degree program before the advertisement closing date
  • Must have a CGPA of at least 3.30
  • Must have at least 12 months of study remaining (excluding final semester)

For Medical and Dental Programs:

  • Must have started studies before the closing date
  • Must have obtained a ‘Pass’ result in the latest semester
  • Must have 12 months or more of study remaining (excluding final semester)
